This course prepares the operator of emergency vehicles to assume the responsibility associated
with operating aerial apparatus. The course specifically targets the hazards associated with
operating these large, often complex, vehicles safety and effectively during daily operations and at
emergency incidents. This course will meet and exceed NFPA 1002, Standard for Fire Department
Vehicle Driver/Operator Professional Qualifications. The course will also include water flow
formulas and calculations as well as extensive practical evolutions. It is suggested to bring a
calculator for class.
